Best Paris Concerts in 2026: Dates, Tickets, Classical to Rock

Paris concerts feature every style and genre of music you can imagine: classical concerts, opera, ballet, rock, jazz, pop, metal, rap, musical shows, indie, and electronic dance music, plus the latest emerging trends.

I love hearing live music, and I usually catch a few shows and concerts each week when I'm in Paris because there are so many choices and they're so convenient to get to - just walk or hop on the metro. Plus tickets cost less - often, much less - than they would in my U.S. city.

Live music in Paris takes place in a variety of memorable venues: classical concerts in historial churches, huge concert arenas, intimate jazz clubs, parks and outdoor stages, festivals, and iconic music halls and cabarets.

I especially enjoy Chrismas and New Year's concerts in Paris, and usually try to book one in the Eiffel Tower or Sainte Chapelle (or both) as well as a couple in the magnificent old churches such as Saint-Sulpice and Saint-Eustasche.

And now that Notre Dame Cathedral has reopened, I'm hearing hints that concerts will start taking place there again.

Paris Church Concerts: Where to Hear Classical, Sacred, & Choral Music Concerts - Sainte-Chapelle & More

Alert for all opera and ballet lovers: The Paris Opera has announced the closure of the Palais Garnier stage due to major updates from summer, 2027 to summer, 2029 - so book tickets for a performance before then while you still can. The new season starts in September. No word yet if visits to explore the famous Opera House will stop - so get an entry ticket (non-EU) and visit now!
